Mimmo’s in Essex has been celebrating the Italian gastronomy in Vermont since 1995. Along with our fresh traditional Italian Cuisine and New York style pizza made from our very own recipes, we provide an excellent atmosphere with entertainment for all to enjoy whether it be our dough tossing pizza chefs or flames roaring from the sautées in our open kitchen, our hustling team is always fun to watch.

In Italy a meal is nourishment for the body and spirit, a daily cause for celebration with family and friends. With this tradition in mind, after countless years of hard work and dedication to the restaurant business, Domenico (Mimmo) pursued his dream to create a unique dining experience with great food, reasonable prices, and most importantly, Southern Italian hospitality.

Through our 23 years we have gone through many changes. Though our appearance changes our mission remains the same, striving to make Mimmo’s in Essex your home away from home by serving you well and making each dining experience with us a memorable one. While fulfilling this notion we’ve served your first dates, witnessed your engagements begin, and watch your families grow and over again while the cycle continues.
